Wild dogs are at present the most predators of cattle in western North America, causing the most losses of sheep, goats and cattle. For example, according to the National Department of Agricultural Statistics, wild dogs were responsible for 60.5% of 224,000 sheep deaths attributed to predation in 2004. The total number of sheep deaths in 2004 was 2.22% of sheep and sheep in the states United Nations. States, according to the US Department of Agriculture report, collected 4.66 million and 7.80 million heads respectively from July 1, 2005. Because wild dog dogs are usually larger and more widespread than those of wolves, wild dogs cause more common predation losses. US government agents routinely shoot, poison, imprison, and kill about 90,000 Buraidah dogs every year to protect cattle.
